Who Can Apply for an OCI Card?

You are eligible for an OCI card if:

✔ You were a citizen of India or eligible for Indian citizenship on or after January 26, 1950.
✔ Your parents, grandparents, or great-grandparents were Indian citizens.
✔ You are a spouse of an Indian citizen or OCI cardholder (with at least 2 years of marriage).

Documents Required for OCI Application

✔ Valid foreign passport
✔ Proof of Indian origin (old Indian passport, birth certificate, or parent’s documents)
✔ Proof of current nationality (passport, naturalization certificate)
✔ Address proof (utility bill, rental agreement, or driver’s license)
✔ Recent passport-size photographs
✔ Marriage certificate (if applying as a spouse)
